Spanish Red Cross
The Spanish Red Cross is an organisation that is motivated to alleviate human suffering and improve the lives of the most vulnerable, particularly in times of conflict. Our mission is to be closer to vulnerable people at both a national and international level through preventive actions, health care, rehabilitation and development. |
|
The Red Cross is a humanitarian organisation founded in 1863 in over 186 countries and has the participation of 100 million volunteers worldwide. The Spanish Red Cross has more than 750,000 members worldwide and works in partnership with the world’s poorest countries to defend human rights, maintain the environment and protect ethnic minorities. |
We look after our funds by producing monthly financial reports and using the Quick Books accounting system. We are organised by compiling activity based reports, quarterly narrative reports and an annual report. Our staff members meet monthly and we hold an Annual General Meeting to ensure effective communication within the organisation. The Spanish Red Cross and Gambia Red Cross are working in partnership to promote the awareness of human rights standards in The Gambia. |
